With NADA 2013 kicking off today, we wanted to offer some advice to help you get the most out of your convention experience. Whether your goal is to take in sessions, evaluate potential vendors, network with fellow industry members or, most likely, some combination of all three, these tips will set you up for success at NADA 2013.

The convention runs from February 8th – 11th at the Orange County Convention Center, West Building, located at 9800 International Drive in Orlando. If you’re staying at an official NADA Hotel, transportation via the NADA shuttle is available to get you to and from the convention.

Get Connected

With approximately 30,000 automotive industry members in attendance, there’s no better place to network and share ideas, both in person and online, than at NADA.

To join the online conversation, start by downloading social apps like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn on your mobile device, then like/follow fellow industry members, trade publications and vendors. While Twitter gets most of the buzz, LinkedIn’s mobile app is a great way to connect with people you meet on the fly.

On Twitter and Instagram, you can jump in on the convention discussion by including the hashtag #NADA2013 at the end of all of your convention-related posts. Hashtags help organize tweets based on a given topic or event, so by using the NADA hashtag, you’ll be able to share your perspective with other social media-savvy industry members.

Enjoy it

When you’ve finished taking in all the great presentations, meeting with peers and engaging with vendors, don’t forget to take some time to relax and enjoy yourself – it’s 75 degrees and sunny outside after all. Get refreshed and know that the time you’ve put in will ultimately pay dividends when you take back what you’ve learned and apply it at your dealership.
