Quick ways to include Dealer Reviews in your sales and service processes

Cars.com is getting ready for the Big Game this February, and we’re giving you the chance to win prizes every week at WhosGotGame2012.com

This week’s character is Marla, a social media socialite who checks out customer reviews before making a purchase, whether she’s buying coffee or the latest tablet computer.  Here are a few simple ways to get your satisfied customers talking online about your store, helping to sway Marla’s opinion in your favor.

Ask at the point of sale or service.

A customer just bought a car from you or is picking up their vehicle after service, and they couldn’t be happier. You went above and beyond to give them a great experience – one they might just write home about.  Now is the best time to ask for them for a review.  Ask if they would do you a favor and leave some feedback about their experience.  Be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them taking the time to review their experience.

Include links to all of your review sites in your follow up e-mails.

It’s simple to include links directing clients to your review pages in the follow-up e-mails you’re sending to recent purchasers and service customers. By including links right to your review pages, you’re making it easy for customers to review you and expressing the value of customer feedback at your dealership.

Reach out to previous customers.

You have great customers! They’ve purchased from you before and are regular service customers, and many of them would be eager to be advocates for your brand.  Reach out to them and let them know how much you would appreciate them sharing their experience on your review sites.  This can be as simple as sending an e-mail or making a quick phone call to ask them for their help.

That’s it! Simple, right? You’re confident in your dealership’s ability to offer a great experience to shoppers, so try out some of these tips during your sales and service processes.

Head back to Whosgotgame2012.com next week for another chance to win, and meet an all-new member of the audience Cars.com could be reaching through our commercial in the Big Game.  We’re giving away thousands of dollars in prizes, so cast your vote each week!
